Tech Tip: Getting rid of the modal dialog during printing on Macintosh
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: | PLATFORM:
Published On: August 13, 1999

The Macintosh operating system displays a modal dialog during printing, making it impossible to click the Stop button in 4D's print progress dialog. You can change the modal window to a non-modal window by using ResEdit to customize a copy of your printer driver (located in the System:Extensions folder). Open the DLOG resource -8190. At the top of that resource's editing window, there are options to select a different window type.
