Tech Tip: Using Absolute Paths for 4D CGI's
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.7 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: January 26, 2001

If you are using 4D CGI's, it is important you set at minimum the /root path if you wish for the CGI's to work correctly. If you are only using a relative path in 4D without using the CGI's, the relative path set will work because 4D very forgiving, however relative paths will not always work when using CGI's. When using CGI's, the /root path may need to be set in order for them to work properly. Therefore, it is best to always set the /root or even the absolute path rather than just the relative path.
