Tech Note: Manipulating Arrays, Strings, and Dates in 4th Dimension
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 3.x | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: October 31, 1996

Every 4D developer will often have to manipulate arrays, strings and dates. In fact, you probably have already accumulated a library of routines that you use for such occasions. However, just in case you do not have a complete library, this technical note can provide you with many of the most common array, string and date manipulation routines, so you will not have to “reinvent the wheel.”
The example database contains layouts that demonstrate each of these routines. You can use 4D Insider to move the routines into your applications. Also, at the end of this technical note, you will find an Appendix containing representative samples of the 4D code in these routines.
