Some of the new commands in 4D V6 enable you to examine and manipulate the files and directories on your hard disk. The HDBrowse database that accompanies this technical note shows you how some of these commands work. As we examine the HDBrowse example, we’ll also learn about the creation and manipulation of hierarchical lists, and some of the other new features of 4D V6 as well.

You’ll find an example of a recursive method (that is, a method that calls itself) in the example database.
