ACI Technical Support has received many calls from customers asking how they can easily manage saved Quick Reports without having to use a file server or without having to copy all the reports to every client machine. The purpose of this technical note is to acquaint you with a way to distribute Quick Reports and other files using the Mac4DX and Win4DX folders.

Items in the Mac4DX and Win4DX folders are automatically copied to the client machine when the user starts 4D Client. Saved Quick Reports can be stored in the Mac4DX and Win4DX folders on the Server and downloaded in the Client automatically at logon.
