These days, with speedy disk I/O and high-powered computers, we have the brute force necessary to extract great performance out of our custom 4D databases. What’s interesting is, often the processor is for all practical purposes is doing nothing at all, just waiting for us to give it something to do!
This technical note illustrates one way to use that idle processor time to optimize the “perceived” performance of a specific database activity.
