Most developers run into installation problems at least once. First, there is the risk of a user copying only some of the essential documents, or setting the “read only” attribute when copying documents on Windows from a CD-ROM or diskette. Things like these can cause problems
when using a 4D database.

This technical note gives you a simple and ready-to-use installer. All you have to do is edit the
installation script with a word processor like SimpleText (on Mac OS) or WordPad (on Windows).
