Contextual menus have been around for some time on the Windows platform. With the introduction of System 8.x for the Macintosh, contextual menus have also become popular for Macintosh users as well. This technical note discusses how to create contextual menus on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. It explains creating contextual menus as well as what options are available to use with them. These options include setting the font styles as well as adding separation lines, checkmarks, icons and shortcut keys. You can even show items in the pop-up menu as being disabled.
