Tech Note: Programmatically Moving Objects in 4D
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.5.x | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: April 1, 1999

With 4th Dimension version 6.5, it is now possible to move objects on a form programmatically. Although this may lead you to believe that 4th Dimension will be the next best platform for developing state of the art games, you will find that it allows you to build an interface that allows users to create “custom” screens.
This technical note describes using the new 6.5 Commands Move Object and Set Timer with the new 6.5 event “On Timer” to move an object as the user moves the mouse cursor.

This is meant to be a fun demo for April Fools Day, 1999. ACI will not be responsible for any pranks done as a result of what you will learn!
