This technical note resolves the problem with 4D expressions (4D commands) inserted into plug-in areas (4D Write, 4D Calc, 4D Draw, and 4D Chart) when converting a database from version 3 to version 6. If you have inserted 4D expressions in a plug-in area and then convert your database from version 3 to version 6, 4D is unable to determine the version in which the 4D expression was inserted and may return syntax errors.
This technical note uses a 4D Write example. Please note that this solution works the same way with all other 4D plug-ins.
Important: You must, at minimum, use version 6.0.6.
