Tech Note: Adding a Styles Palette to 4D Write
PRODUCT: 4D Write | VERSION: 6.0 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: October 1, 1999
Using the "Styles" pop-up menu in 4D Write to apply styles to many selections of text can be a long and tedious process, especially for large documents with repetitive style sequences. Instead, you can apply styles that correspond to 4D methods described in this technical note. The keyboard equivalents associated with the Style menu items force us to let go of the mouse. These keyboard equivalents may not be used by everyone.
In order to create a "mouse-based" process, we are going to create a palette that contains a button for each of the existing styles in the 4D Write template.
We are also going to dynamically manage help tips.
