Before we begin, it is important to note that this document describes the Beta 1 version of
DataGrid. It is not a shrink-wrapped, completely polished, entirely bug-free application. Even so,
the Beta 1 release is very functional and should provide a wealth of information about
programming with 4D and the 4D Connectivity plug-ins.
To review: DataGrid itself is an application, one that leverages a new 4D framework, the
Enterprise Data Module. A couple of objectives motivated the creation of DataGrid:
- To demonstrate the use of EDM
- To provide a worthwhile data administration tool
