From version 6.7, 4th Dimension is QuickTime 4 compatible under the Mac OS and Windows platforms. As a result, the COMPRESS PICTURE command can be used to compress pictures in a similar fashion under both Mac OS and Windows.

Under Windows, this command requires QuickTime for Windows version 4 or above be installed, otherwise it will not work. Moreover, if Quicktime is not installed, a -9955 error is displayed.

Note: When installing QuickTime, you must install do the full install, otherwise QuickTime will not support all available picture types with 4D.
