ODBC being a Microsoft technology makes its use on the Mac platform almost impossible. Therefore, it is difficult to find ODBC drivers for that platform.

A workaround for this consists of installing a 4D Server on a PC machine equipped with the proper ODBC drivers. A stored procedure on the server (using 4D ODBC) could be executed to perform the ODBC queries and return results to Mac or Windows clients through buffer records, arrays or variables.
