Form and method comments can be manually created or modified on your own, or automatically performed by 4D each time that a form or method is modified. This system can be set as automatic from the Database Properties dialog, in the Comments tab. From this window, you can define the text of your own template comment including its size , color, fonts and attributes to be used. You can also insert the current user name (#N), the current date of modification (#D) and the current time of modification (#H). These comments can be seen and modified from the expanded Explorer window by selecting any form or method and selecting the "Comments" radio button. This is the place to go if you want to edit a comment manually or if you want to read it. This will display the current comment of the selected object.

Form and method comments are also editable with 4D Insider.
