4D ODBC is a plug-in that allows a 4D database on a Mac or Windows platform to communicate with an ODBC database. Using 4D ODBC, your 4D database can display, manipulate or modify data stored in an ODBC database. 4D ODBC is available for both Windows and Mac OS.

On the other hand, the ODBC driver for 4D Server allows Windows-based ODBC-compliant client applications to access data residing on a 4D Server.
