Tech Tip: Recompile the headers and libraries when using a new version of CodeWarrior
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.7 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: August 17, 2001

When using a new or updated version of CodeWarrior that includes new header or library files you should remember to recompile the Headers, Runtime Libraries, and MFC Libraries (PC). If you do not remember to do so your projects may fail to compile correctly, or may not compile at all. If you are using CodeWarrior for the first time you should recompile these files because frequently, in order to save space on the installation CD, certain libraries or header files may not have been compiled.

Symptoms include receiving error messages that certain Libraries or Header files are not available which may lead to a false suspicion that you have done something wrong in your project. When you receive a new version of CodeWarrior take a look in the following folders and recompile the projects located within. This will help prevent potential errors in the future, and will help ensure that you have the latest Runtime Libraries available.
