Tech Tip: Printing a record footer
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.5 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win

Normally when you create an object in a footer area (between the break and the footer line), the object will be printed at the end of every page. Suppose you are printing a variable or a field in one frame with the PRINT RECORD command and you want the object to be printed only at the end of the record; you can try putting the object inside of the detail area under the field object. However, you may run into a problem where the end of the printing data is too close to the bottom of the page. The upper and lower half of the object could be printed on the separate page.

To solve this problem, you must create another break line and place the object between the two break lines.

The object will always be forced to the next page if there is not enough room at the bottom of the page to print the whole object.
