Tech Tip: Pasting a picture into the Picture Library as its actual size

If you create a new entry in the Picture Library before copying and pasting from the clipboard, you will be prompted to manually enter the image dimensions in pixels. You can save time by letting the Picture Library set the size of the picture entry to your picture's actual size using the following technique.

- Once the picture is copied into the clipboard, launch the Picture Library.

- Make sure that the left side of the window has a focus. You can click anywhere in the area marked with the red X to give it the focus.

- Choose the Paste option from the Edit menu. The Picture Properties will display with the picture's actual size automatically displayed.

- Click OK and the picture will be added to the Picture Library.
