Tech Tip: An easy way to convert a JPEG picture into a bitmap
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.5 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win

You may want to paste pictures in either your application's main window or in a form. If these pictures are in JPEG format, they will not be displayed on Windows machines on which QuickTime is not installed.

To work around that problem, you may use a specific tool to convert your pictures into another format, such as bitmap. A simpler way to achieve that will be to paste your picture into the Picture library, in the Design environment, and attempt to edit it.

At this point, 4D will ask you if you want to convert the picture into a bitmap. Click Yes and "voilĂ ," your picture will then become a bitmap. You may then copy it from the picture library and paste it where you want into your database.
