Tech Tip: How to test for the types of picture formats available on a machine
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.7 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: February 21, 2002

When pictures are not displayed, it could mean that the picture format you are trying to display is not a supported format on that machine. This can easily be tested using the command:

PICTURE TYPE LIST (formatArray{; nameArray})

The command PICTURE TYPE LIST fills the formatArray array with picture import/export QuickTime codes available on the machine where it is executed. You can therefore easily see if the picture your are trying to display is supported.
