If you get a message stating that you will lose some information when copying to a floppy disk, check the box for the description. In most cases, it is the Macintosh Application Information.
The reason this happens is because your hard disk is most likely NTFS and your floppy disk is most likely a FAT 16 or a FAT 32 partition type. FAT16/32 partition types cannot store Macintosh Application Information and will strip them. However, you can work around this problem by compressing your file before copying it.
