4D Business Kit and 4th Dimension will work in harmony with test certificates provided by your favorite SSL Certificate providers. When you do decide to purchase an SSL Certificate for your 4D Business Kit e-commerce server or your 4D Web server, you may have the option of choosing a server platform for the type of certificate to use. For most SSL Certificate providers, neither the 4D Business Kit Web server nor 4D Web server platform is on their list of Web servers from which to choose. In this case, select "Apache" as the server platform. This is because both 4D and Apache use the lowest common denominator of certificate formats.
