While reviewing my latest 4D View code to replace output forms, I realized that I was repeating a lot of the same code, with just slight differences, for each form that I wanted to use. Even if I had two forms for the same table but with different fields shown on the forms I was rebuilding quite a bit of the same code for each form. With that in mind I decided to write a generic solution. With this tech note I will show how I allow the users to build "Views" using a simple, easy to use editor, save the View definitions and then use the saved Views as a substitute for output forms.
