Tech Tip: Getting the path to a user's home directory under MacOSX
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 6.8 | PLATFORM: Mac OS X
Published On: February 14, 2003

Although there is no specific command to get a user's home directory, this is still possible by using the command System folder.

And by using the parameter--> Preferences or Profiles_User

This will return the path to the user's preferences folder, which is stored within the user's own directory. You would need to strip off what isn't needed.

i.e Mac_HD:Users:User_directory:library:preferences

You'll need to strip off everything after the user_diretory
