This tech tip reviews how Quick Report preview output is viewed under Mac OS X, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.

Recently a user asked the following question: "When previewing a Quick Report in 4D 2003, 4D opens Acrobat. Is this a new feature? "

When running 4D 2003 under Mac OS X, 4D uses the OS X preview system. The OS X preview system will use Preview (from Apple) or Acrobat to display the Quick Report output in PDF format when you hit print preview. This preview system replaces the use of the built in 4D Print Preview window.

When running 4D 2003 under Windows XP or Windows 2000, 4D uses it’s own, familiar, 4D Print Preview window.
