This tech note will demonstrate how 4D retrieves an RSS feed and then publishes the content. 4D 2003 can retrieve RSS feeds and use them because RSS is a form of XML and 4D 2003 can parse XML. RSS is an acronym for Real Simple Syndication. Although it is not required, I recommend reading the technical note #03-6, "Parsing XML Documents, by Dave Dell'Aquila." on parsing XML before reading the present technical note. However, you should at least know how to interpret an XML document.
