With this tech note I will show how I have used 4D View to replace AreaList Pro in my 4D 6.8 applications. I typically use ALP in two primary ways, to show a selection of records similar to an output form and as a replacement for included forms to show related records on an input form. I have included methods for ALP as well as 4D View in this tech note. I will not attempt to show how to translate all of ALP commands to 4D View commands, only a subset of the commands.
