Quick Report templates can be used cross platform. To use templates created running under Windows on the Mac, you must first edit their Macintosh Type and Creator codes. Templates created on the Mac can be used directly under Windows; no additional steps need to be taken to allow their use.

Quick Report templates created running under Windows can be used on the Mac, and templates created on the Mac can be used under Windows.

However, report templates transferred from Windows to the Mac will be missing their Macintosh Type and Creator codes. In order to use the templates, you must first use a utility that will allow you to edit their Macintosh Type and Creator codes and assign the following values:

Type: REPT
Creator: 4D06

More simply, you can also use 4D Transporter, which will perform that task for you.
