Tech Tip: Why your 4D 2003 plug-ins may be disabled

To check to make sure your plug-ins are in fact disabled, go into design mode, click tools and select explorer. When the explorer window opens, click the last tab. This is the component tab. You will see the list of loaded plug-ins. Highlight a plug-in to see its status.

Your plug-ins may have a status of "Disabled" if

1) You are on a Windows machine and you have a MAC4DX folder with Macintosh versions of the plug-in without a WIN4DX folder with Windows versions of the plug-in.

2) You are on a Macintosh machine and you have a WIN4DX folder with Windows versions of the plug-in without a MAC4DX folder with Macintosh versions of the plug-in.

3) You have not entered a license to use them. Check with customer service for more information on obtaining a license to use a 4D plug-in.
