Once the 4D password system is activated (via the creation of a Designer password), you can assign a default login user. If the default login user does not have a password, then 4D will automatically log in as that user when the database is launched. If there is a password assigned to the default login user, you will get the 4D password screen prompting you for the password.

Note: At this point, you are not able to change the login because this user is specified as the default user to log in with.
