The purpose of this technical note is to demonstrate a method for computing object placement and size when resizing a form.

Most entry forms can be resized either to display more information in the form or to modify the size of the elements in the form to match the user’s needs. 4D provides some basic default behaviors to either resize a form or move objects but sometimes the only recourse is to use the language. This technical note describes a method that lets you move and resize objects. It combines both operations in a simple and logical manner.
