Tech Tip: How to display the 4D command syntax
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 2003 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: April 1, 2004

The 4D command syntax can be displayed in the Method Editor by simply installing the 4D Help file. First, download 4D Explorer Help from the Documentation page of the 4D Web site. Then, copy the 4D Help file (4D Help.RSR file in windows) to your 4D active folder. The path of the active folder in windows is 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\4D' and in Mac OS X is 'Mac HD:Library:Application Support:4D'. The syntax of the 4D command you just typed in the Method Editor will automatically show on top of the editor window as shown below.
