Tech Tip: Why is batch method editing not available in client/server mode?

The reason batch editing is not available in client/server mode is that if a method is open and being modified by a designer connected to the database, that method is locked and cannot be modified by another. If a second designer tried to batch edit the attributes of a group of methods that included the method locked by the first designer, that method would not accept the batch attribute changes. If used in standalone, there is only one designer at a time and any methods that are open are open by that designer so any batch attribute modification will be effective to all records in that group.
