Tech Tip: How to Delete Groups in 4D Insider
PRODUCT: 4D Insider | VERSION: 2003.3 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: June 3, 2004

4D Insider has the ability to create groups to allow users to organize objects within a structure or library based on object functionality. When you group objects together, the objects are moved into a folder whose name is the same as that of the group. More information regarding groups can be found in the 4D Insider Technical Reference guide chapter 6. Download this guide

To delete the groups, you first need to remove all objects from the groups folder. Group folders must be empty before 4D Insider allows the folder to be deleted. You can either delete the objects from the folders or drag and drop the objects out of the folders. Once the folders are empty, select the folder and go to the Tools menu. Select "Remove empty group" and this will delete the groups folder.
