The algorithms and mechanisms used by the 4th Dimension 2004 backup module are completely new. 4D Backup backup projects are not compatible with the 4th Dimension 2004 backup module. Also, archives created by 4D Backup cannot be restored by the backup module and vice-versa. On the other hand, the structure of the log file has not been changed. The log files created with earlier versions of 4th Dimension can be used with this version.
