Tech Tip: Changing the default dictionary

4D 2004 introduces an integrated Spell Checker. By default, the designated dictionary is tied to the underlying OS. Therefore, if your machine is localized to Spain, 4D will use the Spanish dictionary when spell checking. There are numerous dictionaries that can be used in 4D 2004:

If you would like to change the dictionary that is being used in your database, simple use the new SET DICTIONARY command. The command takes one parameter, which is the desired language from the 4 mentioned above.
