4D 2004 introduces drag and drop capabilities between forms in the Design environment. To activate this new feature, open the Preferences and select Form Editor under the Design Mode category. Select the option Start drag and drop.



This means that if you have two forms open, you can simply drag and drop objects from one form to the other. All characteristics will follow, including look and feel, standard actions, object methods, etc. Furthermore, fields of specific Tables will maintain integrity if dragged to another Table's form. This behavior is useful for recycling objects among several forms.
