Tech Tip: Three State Check Boxes in 2004
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 2004 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: November 30, 2004

In 2004, check boxes in 4D now accept a third state, the intermediate state. The intermediate state is generally used for display purposes. The three state property is only available to check boxes associated with numeric variables. It can not be used with 3D check boxes and check boxes that have a boolean variable. To set the check box into its third state, the user must check on the third state property in the "Display" theme of the property list. The variable associated with the check box will return a value of 2 when it is in its third state.
