The iCalendar specification (RFC 2445) defines the parameters in which personal calendaring application operate. This specification has lead to the development of such calendaring applications as the OSX iCal application and Mozilla's Calendar extension for the FireFox browser. These types of calendaring applications help you manage your life and time better than ever before. Your days brim with appointments and activities - morning, lunch and afternoon meetings, family events, your co-worker's or neighbor's dinner party, etc. You need a powerful and easy to use tool that not only helps you stay on top of your days' events but lets others in your life do so as well. This is where 4D comes in. Using 4D, developers can offer a range of new solutions that inter-operate with iCalendar compliant calendaring applications.
