PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 2004 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: May 27, 2005

Some shortcuts have been reorganized in 4th Dimension 2004 and certain redundant shortcuts have been deleted.

The Ctrl+Space bar (Windows) or Command+Space bar (MacOS) shortcut used to display the Table list in the User environment has been replaced by the the Ctrl+0 (Windows) / Command+0 (MacOS) shortcut and the Table List command of the Records menu.

The Ctrl+Space bar (Windows) or Command+Space bar (Mac OS) shortcut used to display the Explorer in the Design environment has been replaced by the Ctrl+, (Windows) / Command+, (MacOS) shortcut.

The Ctrl+W (Windows) or Command+W (MacOS) shortcut used to force cache flushing in the User environment has been replaced by the Flush Data Buffers command of the File menu and the Alt+Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift+S (MacOS) shortcut.

The Ctrl+click (Windows) or Command+click (MacOS) shortcut used to insert the editing cursor in a list element (for example a method name in the Explorer or a menu command in the menu bar editor) has been replaced by the Alt+click (Windows) or Option+click (MacOS) shortcut.

Note that clicking twice on a list element, such as a method name in the Explorer changes it to editing mode (in which case the element is selected entirely):
