Tech Tip: Database displays a blank stripe under the menu in an upgraded database
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 2004 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: October 16, 2005

When you upgrade a database, you see a blank stripe under the menu bar in the Custom Menu mode. If you have not defined anything to be in the toolbar in version 2004, it will display a blank toolbar beneath the menu bar by default. To turn this off, go to the design mode and Edit/Preferences. In the Application/Options window you will see a Display Toolbar option with two check boxes. One for User/Design mode and one for Custom Menu, un-check the Custom Menu option and the blank toolbar will disappear in the Custom Menu environment.
