The TerraServer uses standard web services to allow developers to develop
web-based and non web-based application to access United States
Geography Survey (USGS) imagery from their Database. TerraServer
contains 3.3 terabytes of high-resolution topographic maps and aerial photos
supplied by the USGS. With the high resolution topographic maps and aerial
photos, users can zoom in to the pictures to display it’s details or can zoom
out of the picture to display a panoramic view of the image.
