When you save a 4D Write template (AreaName_.4WT), it is saved at the same level as the database structure file (default location) with 4D Single-User and 4D Server.

If you want to store the template locally using 4D Client, you can use the "WR SET AREA PROPERTY" command with the option “wr save template on server” and value 0. If you do this, the template will be saved on the client machine at this location:

• On Windows, in the folder Documents and settings\UserName\Application data\4D\4D Write Templates\DatabaseName


• On MacOS, in the folder Users:UserName:Library:Application Support:4D:4D Write Templates:DatabaseName
