This technical note is an expansion of TN (00-43) which introduced a utility program that allowed you to "ping" a computer on the network. In this technical note, two options were added. One option allows you to perform DNS and reverse DNS lookups and the other allows you to use the old UNIX finger command. This tool can help you isolate network-related problems while deploying applications.

The code used in this utility program takes advantage of commands in the 4D Internet Commands plug-in.
