When you enter your serial number for a 4D application (4D, 4D server, etc), make sure you are using the application for which the license is meant. For example, if you are in 4D stand alone you can register a 4D Server license; however when you launch 4D stand alone again it will not recognize the license file and will only let you start in demo mode.
