Tech Tip: Problem with Date syntax !00/00/00! giving a syntax error?
PRODUCT: 4D | VERSION: 2004 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: November 29, 2005

If you encounter a problem with a date syntax !00/00/00! triggering a syntax error, check to see if a method of adding to a date is being used from an earlier version of 4D (for instance "Date" + 14). The command "Add to date" was introduced in version 6.0 and, occasionally, the compiler in the current version of 4D complains about using "Date + 14". Try replacing the the "Date + 14" statement with the "Add to date" command to get it to compile.
