In 4D 2004, it is forbidden to call a 4D command that displays a dialog box from the On Display Detail and On Header events. Doing so will generate a syntax error.

The commands that will generate the syntax error are the following: ALERT, DIALOG, CONFIRM, Request, ADD RECORD, MODIFY RECORD, DISPLAY SELECTION and MODIFY SELECTION.
