Tech Tip: How to prevent a small 4D Write area from displaying as a button
PRODUCT: 4D Write | VERSION: 6.5.2 | PLATFORM: Mac & Win
Published On: March 17, 2000

In 4D Write version 6.5.2, the default minimum size for a 4D Write area is 170 pixels wide by 80 pixels high. If your 4D Write area is smaller than this, it will display as a button. When the user clicks this button, a full-screen 4D Write external window opens up.

To display a smaller 4D Write area, you can use the WR SET AREA PROPERTY command to modify the "wr minimum width" and "wr minimum height" properties of the 4D Write area, to set the minimum size at which the 4D Write area will not be displayed as a button.
Conversely, the WR GET AREA PROPERTY command can tell you the current settings for the minimum width and height at which the 4D Write area will not display as a button. This is done by checking the "wr minimum width" and "wr minimum height" properties of the 4D Write area.
