In version 2004, you can now display the Preferences dialog in the Custom menus environment. This can be extremely convenient when you want your end-users to be able to set some of the 4D preferences. To do so, you will have to use the command OPEN 4D PREFERENCES: https://www.4d.com/docs/CMU/CMU00903.HTM

Also please note that the selector allows you to limit the access to a specific area in the Preferences.
